The album was released by Gísli in 2020 and contains Gísli's arrangements of his grandfathers music, much of which played a prominent part of Icelandic musical life in the 50's. Now presented in modern arrangements but keeping true to their origin and originality

Gísli Magna

Gísli has worked in the Icelandic music scene for on three decades. Specialising in vocal music he has worked with musicians ranging from Björk to classical choirs and ensembles to performing for Iceland in Eurovision as a backup vocalist. He's been in projects that have won or been nominated for numerous awards, both in Iceland and internationally. He is now presenting his musical heritage, the music of his grandfather.
